Awards Overview

The annual Costa del Sol Real Estate Awards for Excellence is the most prestigious event on the industry’s calendar, recognising outstanding achievement and commitment to integrity in the profession. The awards aim to encourage, recognise and promote excellence and best practice in real estate.

So what makes the awards so different?

FOCUS – Other awards only recognise members or franchisees however the Costa del Sol Real Estate Awards for Excellence are the only awards open to every professional and real estate group across the industry.

PRESTIGIOUS – The Costa del Sol Real Estate Awards for Excellence are a coveted accolade. The industry’s finest sales agents, property managers and principals as well as leading networks will go head to head across various award categories. The fierce competition will reflect the drive for industry recognition and overall professional standards.

GALA DINNER - This will be a mature event and reflects a higher degree of professionalism. It will offer excellent networking opportunities at a time of day that’s preferred by professionals.

QUALITY ABOVE QUANTITY - The awards will recognise the very best operators in the industry. The process is transparent and measurable and includes the insights and opinions of a team of judges, ensuring the awards are fair, accurate and unbiased.

NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST - Sponsors are not eligible for awards. This gives the awards clarity while helping to underpin the integrity of the initiative.

JUDGING PROCESS

The 2013 Costa del Sol Real Estate Awards for Excellence has a panel of expert judges. Each judge is allocated entries which match their areas of expertise. Your entry will be judged against every criteria point for that category and given a rating of poor, average, good, very good, or excellent for each criteria point. Entries must be received by Tuesday, the 31st of December 2013.

STAGE 1: Awards entrants to nominate themselves, or to receive a nomination from a third party, to participate in the awards programme, which involves the completion of an Entry Form plus one applicable Statement of Claims. You must download and complete Entry Form plus one applicable Statement of Claims for each nomination. Third parties can complete the forms should they want to nominate a peer or colleague (for both individual and group awards).

STAGE 2: Nominations will be assessed against key metrics and business performance parameters to determine shortlisted finalists. For group awards, our team of judges will contact nominated companies for further information if/as required. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by the 1st of February 2014.

STAGE 3: Shortlisted finalists are requested to complete a detailed submission giving additional business details plus other information to support their nomination.

STAGE 4: Finalists are announced; groups and individuals will be contacted directly as well as published in the Costa del Home March 2014 edition and named as finalist on the Costa del Home official website.

STAGE 5: Submissions will be delivered to a panel of respected industry professionals and business leaders who will assess each submission. Judges will score each submission across a range of criteria.

STAGE 6: As part of the assessment process, certain categories will require a panel interview with judges. Finalists will be contacted directly with full requirements.

STAGE 7: One winner will be announced per award category, with the awards presented at the awards gala dinner in March 2014 in Marbella. Each winner will be announced and asked to collect their award on stage with an official photographer to capture the moment.
